The creation of this International Summer Ballet School has been developed by Marina Antonova, who will be the Principal teacher for this intensive program.
Marina was born and trained in Russia and has had a highly successful and creative career. As a Principal Dancer and Guest Artist, she has performed all over the world including Ukraine, USA, Germany, Estonia, Slovenia, France, Portugal, Australia, Finland, China, Italy, England, Switzerland.
Marina has danced all the principal roles from the main classical repertoire throughout her career and has also performed in ballets from various international choreographers including, Balanchine, Tudor, Ashton, Limon, De Mille, Joss, Nabrada, Butler,Caniparoli, Walter, Spoerli, Van Manen, Bruce, Neumeier, Christe, Scholz, Vamos.
Marina’s belief is that “Strong classical ballet technique combined with modern technical ability and a lot of passion, are the keys which open the doors to young dancers for a successful, future career”.
For our International Summer Ballet Program we welcome young students (from 14 years of age) and professional ballet dancers who would like to develop their Classical technique, Pas de deux technique and Classical Repertoire.
Participants will also have the great opportunity to work on the style of one of the leading choreographers of this century, Mr. William Forsythe.
This workshop will be held only by teachers who are authorized by Mr. W.Forsythe.
Six days a week, our students will have the opportunity to work with Etoile quality Principal dancers and experienced teachers who will share with young dancers their knowledge of technique, musicality, manner and elegance of dance.
For the future benefit of the students they will also have the chance to receive Pilates® and Gyrotonic® training with experienced dancers and professional trainers.
