Lisa-Maree Cullum

New Zealand Born Lisa-Maree Cullum started ballet at the age of  3 with her mother. At 14 Lisa -Maree left New Zealand to study ballet full-time in Sydney Australia. Later that year she won the gold medal in the Royal Academy`s Adeline Genee Awards followed by a Prix de Lausanne scholarship. This enabled her to continue her studies at the prestigious Academie de danse Princesse Grace in Monaco, under the guidance of Madame Marika Besobrasova.

Her professional ballet career started in1990, at the age of 18, with the English National Ballet. The following year, she accepted P. Schaufuss´s invitation, to join the  Deutsche Oper Berlin, Germany. Only two months later, Schaufuss  entrusted her with the lead role in the world premiere of his Giselle.
Shortly after she was promoted to principal dancer.
In August 1998 Ivan Liška offered Lisa-Maree a principal contract with the Bayerische Staatsballett in Münich, Germany, where she is still under contract.

Lisa-Maree`s international guest appearances include: The Kirov Ballet, the Royal Dänish Ballet, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Teatro dell´Opera di Roma, Queensland Ballet, Imperial Ballet Moscow,The Royal Swedish Ballet, Teatro alla Scala, and also participate`s in gala performances throughout Europe.  

Lisa-maree`s classical repertoire includes:  Odette/Odile - Swan Lake,
Kitri - Don Quixote, Raymonda ( R.Barra ), Titania - Midsummer Nights Dream,
Louise -  the Nutcracker, Beatrice - Ondine, Cinderella, Prudence, Manon & Margerite. – Lady of the Camelia`s (J.Neumeier), Juliet - Romeo&Juliet, Olga&Tatjana - Onegin, Katharina - theTaming of the Shrew (J.Cranko), la Sylphide, Aurora - Sleeping Beauty (P.Schaufuss), Giselle (P.Schaufuss, P.Wright & N.Makarova), Manon (K.Mac Millan), Nikija - la Bayadere (P.Bart), and  additional works from : L.Childs ,  M.Bejart , J.Robbins , W.Forsyth , P.Martins , L.Jacobson , H.v.Manen, J.Kylian, G.Balanchine.
